Along the Mediterranean coast, 35 km north of Barcelona. Llavaneres faces the sea to the east and a natural park to the west. Within a 15 minute walk you are in the center of the old village with small shops and restaurants, where the mainly Spanish population enjoys their free time.
Barcelona has it all. The city of Gaudi; see the Sagrada Familia and other special architecture. Visit the la Ramblas and enjoy the Spanish tapas in the best restaurants of the world.
Visit Camp Nou, the stadium of FC Barcelona. Do the tour and visit the museum or even better, visit a life game. We allow Madrid fans in the house, but please do not talk about it ;-).
Close to Sant Andreu you’ll find this chic outlet center. More than 130 stores with fashion: Karen Millen, Armani, Burberry, Fossil, Gucci, Moncler, La Perla, Michael Kors. Opened all week
Opportunities enough. Girona, the city with the famous ‘hanging’ houses over the river Onyar. Stroll through the ancient streets, see the cathedral or the Arabic bathing houses, walk through the village with its ancient building, streets and squares. Our favorite is Vic. Take the mountain route and see this beautifully preserved town known for its butchers and caterers
Sant Andreu has a small port where you can rent sailing boats and surfboards. Alongside the port there is street with small restaurants where you can enjoy great fish dishes while overlooking the harbor activities.
Within a 5 minute drive from Can Corona you find the local beaches. Lavaneres Beach is small and cozy where a lot of activities are organized, whereas Caldes d’Estrac Beach is unusually wide and clean. This beach is quiet even in the high season.
In the direct surrounding of the house there are two beautiful golf courses and one driving range. The world`s famous PGA Catalunya golf course, which is nominated for the 2022 Rider Cup, is only a 35 minute drive away
Wine tourism in Catalonia will allow you to do a lot more than just taste wines. You can walk or bike ride through the vineyards, visit the wineries where they make organic wine, and pair wine with gastronomy. Visit the factory of one of the Spanish Cava manufactures. Enjoy a walk and ride through the cellars, learn how the Cava is made and taste different Cava’s.
In Sant Andreu itself is not a lot going on after the restaurants are closed but….. Within half an hour you reach Calella and Lloret de Mar, which are known for their night life, bars, disco’s, beach restaurants and shops.
Can Corona is built at the border of the nature park “Parc Montnegre i el Corredor”, which leads into “Parc Natural del Montseney”. The park trials offer views over the Mediterranean Sea or the nearest vineyards. Dolmens, Iberian settlements, chapels, ancient castles and watchtowers crown the highest points. You can hike, do horseback riding or balloon flights – everything is possible.
Sant Andreu de Llavaneres. In Llavaneres the weekly market is on friday. is surrounded by villages, which are not explored by tourism masses yet. Every day you can find somewhere a market to buy fresh fish, home grown vegetables and fruits.
Gerona Airport and Barcelona Airport are both 45 minutes away from Can Corona and serve all the airlines and price fighters. If you want to visit Gerona or Barcelona and like to avoid the traffic and parking problems, take the direct train from Llavaneres to the city center which goes every half an hour.
Aquadiver in Platja D’Aro, Water World in Lloret de Mar and Marineland Catalunya are the waterparks, which are filled with high adrenaline attractions, and they also offer sea life and exotic birds.
Alongside the beach and in the surrounding nature, there are unlimited BTT (Catalan for mountain biking) and running tracks.
Within a 10 minute drive you will find the shopping mall Mataró Parc. The convenient underground parking gives you access to a huge Alcampo supermarket for your groceries as well as a diversity of shops.
